50|50 Season 9: Episode 9: 15 July 2018
WONDERWÊRELD
We’ve switched things up a bit this week! Episode 9 kicks off with a Wonderwêreld on a species a little further from home, forest monkeys in Uganda. Where we discover two very special species of primates endemic to that region, and learn a little about their quirky traits.
SIMON SAYS
Simon Gear is up next with Simon Says. This week’s question is slightly peculiar but also rather reflective…what colour is a mirror?
GIRAFFES
Giraffe numbers in the wild are dwindling at a rapid rate! Realising how little we actually know about these animals, researchers from all over the world have come together to try and find answers. It’s the biggest giraffe research project ever undertaken and this week’s main story follows these researchers, lead by Dr Francois Deacon of the University of the Free State.
DOODSBENOUD
This week’s Doodsbenoud follows the story of Johan van Brakel and his close encounter with a marauding swarm of African honey bees.
VELDFOKUS
Bertus is on standby to share this week’s entries on VeldFokus which include a few feathery friends from the wild.
That’s all for this week’s edition of 50|50. Tune in this Sunday at 7PM on SABC 2!
